Chairman, Sharda Corporation, Chancellor Sharda University
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta stands as a visionary leader who has revolutionized educational paradigms across India. Beginning with engineering campuses in 1996 at Agra & Mathura, Mr. P. K. Gupta established Sharda University in 2009 as India's first truly global university, welcoming students from 95+ countries.

Mr. P. K. Gupta considers himself a sportsman. He says, “I owe my work energy and enthusiasm to sports that have brimmed me with passion.”
“I am a Doer with a vision. I am an Entrepreneur.” He was dedicated to lead through his life and take forward the strong character of his grandfather that had become blurred with time.
He decided to be an entrepreneur when barely anyone knew the meaning of this word. He started making a living through the supply of engineering equipment to various Educational and Research Laboratories.
“One job at a time and doing it with ultimate precision.” This is how he believes a man should lead his life.

After acquiring deep industry knowledge, Mr. P. K. Gupta along with his brother, Mr. Y. K. Gupta, founded their own engineering equipment company, ‘Maxwell Products (India)’ in 1985 in Agra.
The company manufactured high-precision research equipment for laboratories, quickly gaining a loyal customer base who trusted Maxwells above all others.
This venture was more than just for profit; it was built on the brothers’ strong belief to bring industrial growth to Northern India. Their success led to expansion with another plant in Chennai in 1986.
This marked the first independently owned business of the two brothers, who broke stereotypes and became entrepreneurs through sheer perseverance and dedication.
